These terms govern your use of Depense, a service operated by [الاسم القانوني للشركة] ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the service you agree to them. If you use Depense for an organisation, you confirm you may accept these terms on its behalf.

1. The service

Depense helps individuals, households and businesses record expenses, keep receipts and invoices, follow budgets and share this information with the people they choose, such as colleagues or an accountant.

Some features read documents automatically with artificial intelligence. Extracted information is a suggestion: you remain responsible for checking it before relying on it, in particular for amounts, dates and tax information.

Depense is not an accounting, tax, legal or financial adviser. Reports and figures support your decisions; they do not replace professional advice.

2. Your account

You must give accurate information, keep your password secret and tell us without delay if you think someone else has accessed your account. You are responsible for what happens under your account.

You may close your account at any time from your profile. If you own a workspace other people use, transfer it first.

Users who have not reached the age of legal capacity in their country may only use the service with the permission and under the responsibility of a parent or legal guardian. Automated document reading relies on providers whose own terms may not allow use by minors; a guardian must not enable these features for a minor where that is not allowed.

3. Workspaces and the people you invite

A workspace belongs to its owner. The owner, and the administrators they appoint, decide who is invited, which role each person has and what they can see or do. They are responsible for those choices and for having the right to share the information they put in the workspace.

When you join a workspace by invitation, its owner controls the records you add there. If you leave or are removed, records you created remain in the workspace with your name, so its history stays complete.

4. Your content

You keep all rights to the documents and information you upload. You give us the permission we need to store, process and display them to provide the service to you and to the people you share them with, and for no other purpose.

You must not upload content you have no right to use, content that is unlawful, or malicious files.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • access another person's or organisation's data without authorisation;

  • test, scan or attack the security of the service, or work around its limits;

  • use the service for fraud, money laundering or any unlawful purpose;

  • resell the service or use it to build a competing product without our written agreement.

6. Plans, prices and payment

Some features are available on paid plans. Prices, limits and billing periods are shown before you subscribe. Payments are handled by our payment provider; we do not store full card numbers.

You may cancel a paid plan at any time; it stays active until the end of the period already paid. Downgrading never deletes your existing records.

7. Availability and changes

We work to keep the service available and your data safe, but we cannot promise uninterrupted operation. We may change or improve features. If we remove a feature you pay for, we will tell you in advance.

We may update these terms. If changes matter to you, we will ask you to accept the new version when you next sign in.

8. Responsibility

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, such as lost profit or data you did not keep elsewhere, nor for decisions made from figures you did not check. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your statutory rights as a consumer.

9. Suspension and closure

We may suspend an account that breaks these terms or puts other users at risk, telling you why unless the law or an investigation prevents it. You may export your data before closing your account.

10. Law and contact

These terms are governed by the law of [القانون الواجب التطبيق], without depriving consumers of the protection of the mandatory rules of their country of residence.
